Mike Person

Similar to the Rams with Goff, the 49ers realized the importance of protecting their beloved quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo heading into the 2018 season, although it was devastating to see the quarterback suffer a torn ACL early on in the year.

Still, San Francisco deserves the credit for making the necessary moves to make their beloved quarterback received the proper protection, and even though it didn’t seem like that big of a deal at the time, Mike Person did come up big.

For the first time in his NFL career, Person managed to start all 16 games for the 49ers during the 2018 season. And even though San Francisco seems willing to give it another shot with Person, his asking price could be higher now that he’s finally coming off a successful season.

Does this mean the Rams could swoop in to snag Person if they were looking to add depth to their offensive line if spots open up? Only time will tell for the defending NFC champions, but if Los Angeles were smart, Person would at least be viewed as a potential option since his presence could help protect the most important member of the Rams’ offense in Goff under center.
