1. Situation would be much better this time for Keenum

One can only imagine where this Rams team would be at the moment if Jeff Fisher were still in charge, but at least Los Angeles was smart enough to move on from their former head coach when they did since he was clearly holding the team back from their true potential.

To say Keenum was part of a horrendous offense during the 2016 season with the Rams would be a huge understatement when considering this was a group viewed as one of the biggest laughing stocks in the NFL.

Between having a poor offensive line and receiving corps along with the team finishing dead last in the NFL by averaging just 14 points per game, Keenum was part of a brutal situation that year in Los Angeles.

Now that McVay is calling the shots with one of the best offenses in the NFL from the previous two seasons, there’s no question that Keenum would be in a much better situation this time around if a reunion with the Rams were to fall into place.

Similar to Goff and Mannion, Keenum could learn a ton from an offensive mastermind like McVay without having to deal with the pressure that comes with being a starter each week since his role in Los Angeles would be a backup.

This may not be Keenum’s preference since every quarterback in the NFL loves nothing more than to be considered the starter, but after taking a step back in 2018 with the Broncos, a return to the Rams could be in his best interest.
