2. Al Woods

Since joining the NFL in 2010, Al Woods has bounced around when considering the Colts, who he spent the last two years with, were the fifth team he played for.

Without question, Indianapolis certainly could have used Woods in the playoffs after watching the team lose to the Kansas City Chiefs the way they did after the veteran suffered a foot injury in Week 15, but at least he appears to still have plenty of gas left in the old tank.

From a leadership perspective, Woods is the kind of player that Indianapolis would love to see return for a third season with the team, but also the Colts know they need to do what’s best for the defense, even if that means moving on.

Unfortunately for Woods, the defensive tackle isn’t getting any younger, as he will be 32 by the start of next season, and if Indianapolis decides to focus their attention on younger players.

As mentioned before, Indianapolis turned out to be one of the biggest surprise contenders in the NFL this past season, and one of the main reasons behind their success was the impressive play on defense.

Knowing Woods, if the Colts do end up deciding to move on, at least finding a new home shouldn’t be that difficult, whether it happens to be the Rams or someone else.
