1. Jermaine Whitehead

That’s right, all of the players on this list were coincidentally waived at some point last season before working their way to the Browns, and could be on the verge of being on their way out, as hard as that may be to believe.

Then again, it’s quite common in the NFL for teams to give certain players a shot in order to prove their value, and if things don’t work out for the best, it usually still ends up just fine.

After brief stints with the Ravens and San Francisco 49ers in 2015, Jermaine Whitehead finally found a team willing to give him an actual chance in 2016 with the Green Bay Packers. Even though the Packers would go on to cut him leading up to Week 1 before signing to the practice squad, the defender would eventually get promoted to the active roster, and appear in two games.

Back in November, Whitehead would be released by Green Bay before Cleveland decided to pick him up off waivers. Similar to Watford and Davis, Whitehead seems like the kind of player who just needs the right opportunity on a team that fits him better, which could very well end up being the Rams if they’re looking to add depth on defense.
