3. John Sullivan

First off, as much as the Rams may miss John Sullivan, with the case being made that his production was down towards the end of last season, this was the right move by the organization.

Over the last two years, Sullivan has played a key role in helping Los Angeles turn their offensive line around. And while the potential is there for some of the younger guys to take on larger roles in 2019, Sullivan’s veteran experience may be what the Rams miss the most.

In fact, Sullivan was considered one of those under the radar signings when McVay first came on board in 2017 since the two had previously worked together during their time with the Washington Redskins in 2016.

Sullivan’s presence may not have been on the same level as some of the other members of the offensive line such as Andrew Whitworth, but also it’s difficult to picture the unit being as successful over the last two years without him.

But as mentioned before, Sullivan’s play towards the end of last year became a concern, and while his veteran presence will be missed, here’s to hoping some of the younger players embrace this opportunity to see more action.
