10. Carolina Panthers (16)

The pressure was certainly on for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday when looking at how rough things were the previous weekend on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.

But if Kyle Allen were looking to make a statement to show he does in fact deserve to be the starter over Cam Newton, the Panthers quarterback certainly did so after throwing two touchdown passes to help defeat the Titans.

Of course, as great as Allen looked under center, everyone knows the main reason behind Carolina’s victory over Tennessee was due to another strong outing for Christian McCaffrey.

All season, the Panthers star running back has made a strong case to be part of the MVP conversation, and after finishing with 166 yards from scrimmage to go along with three touchdowns, it’s safe to say he’s part of it now, if he wasn’t already before.

Trying to keep McCaffrey continues to be one of the most difficult challenges for opponents in 2019, and even though finishing ahead of the New Orleans Saints in the division race will be tough, a Wild Card spot in the NFC would still be great for the Panthers.

One can only imagine the kind of impact McCaffrey could make if Carolina manages to earn a trip to the playoffs, but the main focus at the moment for the Panthers is making sure this Week 9 momentum carries over into Sunday when facing the Green Bay Packers.
