The LA Rams must repair their run defense for 2020. Here are 3 Free Agent Targets Rams must consider in free agency

The LA Rams have key areas to fix.  But the team is not in a shambles by any means.  The Rams have a solid stable of wide receivers, whether or not the team trades underproducing wide receiver Brandin Cooks.  They also have an adequate, if not exemplary, running game, whether or not the team trades underproducing running back Todd Gurley.

On the offense, the Rams greatest need is to bolster the ranks of an underpaid offensive line. Curiously enough, that can be resolved with one or two key additions via free agency, as the Rams have a remarkable set of young offensive linemen who showed solid promise in 2019.

Similarly, the Rams have assembled a solid defensive backfield for the 2020 season. The team has two talented young safeties in Taylor Rapp and John Johnson, a savvy veteran safety in Eric Weddle,  a solid set of cornerbacks led by star Jalen Ramsey, but also including solid defensive backs Troy Hill, Nickell Robey-Coleman, and David Long Jr, while also boasting a defensive front led by a five-time All-Pro defensive tackle in Aaron Donald.

So what’s left to fix? Well for starters, the LA Rams need to invest in offensive linemen. But in keeping with the theme from following the 49ers’ path to the Super Bowl, the Rams are obligated to beef up on their run defense as well. Need of course directs an NFL team into the free agency market. So of course, that is where we send the Rams shopping.  Here are three projected free agents who would be great for the Rams front to consider signing for the 2020 season.
