LA Rams: Top NFL Draft prospects to replace RB Todd Gurley
By Larry Brake
3 Running backs for the LA Rams round 7 pick
Please do not be worried about LA waiting until the last round to replace Gurley. Still, there are players that could fit the Rams offensive scheme available in round 7. These running backs would really be diamonds in the rough at a bargain price.
Since they did not play at a major football factory, it does not mean they can’t play in the NFL. Marshall Faulk played collegiately at San Diego State. Don’t believe they are a member of the sacred SEC. Could one of the next three guys become the all-time Rams rushing leader?
First, Darius Bradwell is a gifted athlete. The former Tulane running back began his career as a quarterback. He stands 6-feet-1 weighing 230 pounds. How would you like to try and tackle him?
Next, Antonio Gibson is a multi-positional player. At Memphis, he was utilized as a running back as much as a wide receiver. Gibson has a very high ceiling because of his talent. There is a chance that he falls this far because of where he played collegiately.
Third, Elijah Mitchell is another small college gem waiting to break out. At Louisiana-Lafayette, he averaged 6.2 yards each time he ran the football. Mitchell averaged an incredible, 13.5 yards per reception for his college career!
The Rams would do well by drafting any of these players mentioned in this mock draft. Gurley will be tough to replace but stars get replaced all the time. Let’s see how it all plays out.
