The wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft are numerous and very talented. And NFL teams are eager to pull so many gifted and polished receivers out of the 2020 NFL Draft. While Antonio Gandy-Golden may not be the most polished receiver in the draft class, he could arguably be considered the most intriguing of the bunch. He stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 223-pounds, and has delivered over 1,000 yards rushing in each of the past two seasons, including 10 touchdowns each year.
Strides of a gazelle, his speed is surprisingly quick. Despite those long strides, he can run some pretty crisp routes as well. He has great instincts in both press and zone coverages. His quick burst out of the gates typically leaves defenders in the rearview mirror on press-man, while he can instinctively feel the soft spots in zone coverages.
His weakness was a rash of drops in 2018 that seemed to occur without rhyme nor reason.
Rams fans will love his strength, as he routinely pushes around cornerbacks when he has a blocking assignment. And quarterback Jared Goff will love this kid’s height and pass-catching radius. And he is a true outside receiver, allowing Cooper Kupp lo line up in the slot where he is most dangerous.
