Ever wonder who is the most accurate passing quarterback on the LA Rams roster, here’s a look

The LA Rams have had excellent quarterbacks throughout their franchise history. In fact, the modern Rams offense plays with a wide-open passing attack because of the outstanding quarterback play. In today’s NFL, accuracy is the difference between starters and backups.

You have to be able to hit what you are throwing at, right? Long gone are the days when quarterbacks launched a deep pass for the receiver to run under and catch. Hail Mary’s are truly just that, a heave to the heavens immediately followed by a prayer that the football winds up in a receiver’s outstretched arms. Generally, only busted coverages result in long touchdown passes.

How should accuracy be defined in today’s offenses? For example, the run and shoot passing offense threw the ball downfield. The West Coast offense was more short passes and horizontally via screenplays. The spread and air raid offenses are a good blend of each of those mentioned above.

How accurate is a player who completes 53 percent of his passes which averaged a mere six yards per attempt? What about the quarterback completing 62 percent of his passes which averaged 15 yards per attempt? This might give an insight into arm strength and reading defenses.
