LA Rams News: New uniform and release date leaked in odd way
LA Rams News: Long-awaited uniform release leaked in the most unusual way, but it appears as though it was all worth the wait.
The LA Rams new jersey design topic has been a coveted one for the Los Angeles Rams fans since the team filed for a uniform change in 2017, a process that usually takes two years (a similar road had to be taken with the logo), but the Rams front office wanted the new looks to coincide with their new home opening.
The group led by owner Stan Kroenke first flipped the logo highlights from gold to white, as well as the pants single strip (from gold to navy blue), and the helmet (gold horns turned white).
Many rumors have since been published, fans have made numerous uniform mockups, some of them hoping for the new look to not break away the horns (literally) and keep the “essence” of the looks intact; others have stuck to the horns in the new logo design, and yet some have alluded to the ’90s beautiful color combination.
A date hasn’t yet been publicly and officially set by the team, as they planned to reveal it to lifelong fans and season ticket holders in a pre-opening event at the new SoFi Stadium, an event that had to be canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak, and the government preventive measures. But…
Yesterday, Jared Goff accidentally “revealed” the news that the Rams were introducing the uniforms today, May 13th, or sometime this week, while playing Fortnite along with MLB player Alex Bregman streamed on the Astros third baseman Twitch stream.
Later that same night, a Rams fan account uploaded a picture of what might be the first look into the new “Rams Royal and Sol” jerseys (with a glimpse into the white/bone version) and the ramily went full-boar into a polarizing discussion, as most of them don’t like the gradient colored numbers, but others think they are fresh; for you, I leave it to be judged.
"The Rams are the only team out of seven who made changes that still have not revealed it, and they are losing valuable momentum; the city rivals and stadium lessee’s Chargers presented their new uniforms for nearly 3-weeks now with much acceptance (even though they took our color scheme into one of them) and with many bittersweet moments lately, they Rams need to generate some empathy with their fans after some moves weren’t very popular this offseason. Yes, Jared Goff might have accidentally spilled the news all over the internet, which is more active now that half the world is staying home and safe (and I really hope you are all doing well through this hard times), or maybe he learned some trolling techniques from Kevin Demoff himself."
The design is actually much better than the logo design and reveal.
And the new designs appear to be well received by some.
So that’s a huge plus. After the bumpy road to get here, it appears that the LA Rams ended up finally releasing the new jerseys and uniforms.
The new jerseys are finally here, and to be honest, they look better than expected. But that’s not much of an endorsement, since expectations were already so low. Let us know what you think in the comments section
