LA Rams News: 5 Jersey swaps we won’t see in 2020

Week One – Dak Prescott swapping jerseys with Jared Goff
From the moment Jared Goff and Dak Prescott were selected in the 2016 NFL draft, there were linked for the remainder of their NFL careers. Of course, as Goff was selected first overall in the draft, and Prescott was selected with the 135th pick, many use the spot selected in the draft to presume relationships between the two players that have no basis.

Some claim that due to Goff as the top overall player selected, and Prescott selected at 135, Goff should be 135 times better than Prescott. The truth of the matter is more along the lines of which prospects might do well in the NFL versus who may not. Dak Prescott was the eighth quarterback chosen in the 2016 NFL Draft. Seven other quarterbacks were chosen before him:
Quarterback class of 2016
Jared Goff- LA Rams – First
Cason Wentz – Philadelphia Eagles – Second
Paxton Lynch – Denver Broncos – 26th
Christian Hackenberg – New York Jets – 51st
Jacoby Brissett – New England Patriots – 91st
Cody Kessler – Cleveland Browns – 93rd
Connor Cook – Las Vegas Raiders – 100th
Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys – 135th overall
While Goff has competed in a Super Bowl, and Wentz had led his team on a Super Bowl run for the Eagles before falling to an untimely injury, only Prescott has seen the post-season play from the class of 2016. Since both entered the NFL in the same year, the two should be swapping jerseys whenever they play. But there is the small matter of that being prohibited this year. And so, it will not happen.
