DeShone Kizer (Browns, Packers, Raiders)

Last year, DeShone Kizer made headlines by telling the press that he liked being a backup to Aaron Rodgers and envisioned himself taking over the reins at some point.  He even envisioned himself as winning an NFL MVP award. While this was a good and noble thought, Kizer was not retained at the end of the season>

He was eventually signed as a free agent to the Las Vegas Raiders. He did not make it to camp. Unfortunately, he was not there long because the Raiders found other options in the NFL Free Agency market.  When the Raiders signed both Marcus Mariota and Nathan Peterman, Kizer was released.

A plug and play QB

Kizer was a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and started a full season in Cleveland. He’s been behind Aaron Rodgers for a couple of years, and his skill set could be useful in head coach Sean McVay’s offense. Kizer is a bit of a scrambler with a good arm, though wildly inconsistent. ‘

Kizer would be an upgrade over anyone currently on the roster. That makes sense, as the current Rams backup quarterback room has never seen action in a single NFL game. He’d make the Rams feel a little bit more comfortable if Goff went down with an injury.
