6 hot takeaways for LA Rams from HBO Hard Knocks: LA -episode 4

Takeaway VI – WR Van Jefferson is really looking incredible
The LA Rams know a thing or two about drafting wide receivers. They’ve done an incredible job of finding elite pass-catching talent without using a first-round draft pick. Everyone knows that they found Cooper Kupp in the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s turned out pretty well.
Now, the Rams may have drafted his successor or at least a future teammate. Rookie Van Jefferson appeared on the Rams roster in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft. While he may not have arrived at a ticker-tape parade, Florida WR Van Jefferson has warmed everyone up to him in almost record time.
Rapid riser
He’s done almost everything asked of him for the team so far. And when he outclassed the team’s backups, he was promoted to the ranks of the starters and did it all over again. Even against the starters, the rookie put up a solid display of a veteran receiver.
He’ll not only make the roster, but he’ll earn his share of offensive snaps this year. Could he catch for 1,000 yards this year? If he stays healthy and sees enough passes thrown his way, he most certainly could do so.
That’s the six hot takeaways from the latest HBO Hard Knocks: LA episode. Next week, we will feature seven hot takeaways. Now, back to roster cuts.
