LA Rams NT Joseph-Day sharing his foodie passion with launch of new YouTube channel Dine & Bash
The LA Rams have a wide range of personalities on the team’s roster, but perhaps none is as dynamic as their young nose tackle Sebastian Joseph Day. SJD is one of the younger starters on the Rams defense, and the youngest starter on the defensive line. His football play is one of the reasons that this Rams defense is playing so well this season. While he has yet to record a quarterback sack, he had already recorded more tackles than last season.
SJD was drafted by the LA Rams in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft with pick 195. The 6-foot-4 310-pound nose tackle became the team’s starter in 2019 and has never looked back. He earned a promising grade for a first-time nose tackle from Pro Football Focus in 2019 of 63.0. But he bulked up and trained hard, and now plays at a very high level. That progress is reflected in his 2020 PFF grade of 79.2.
More than football
Sebastian Joseph-Day’s impact is not just making an impact on the football field. When medical staff was pushed to the brink due to the advent of COVID-19, he donated to feed front-line medical staff workers. When the nation turned to the accountability of police actions, Sebastian Joseph Day was one of the leaders willing to have uncomfortable conversations to find real permanent solutions.
SJD has been a leader for the Rams and for the Los Angeles community.. He has been a lighthouse amidst the stormy events of 2020. Still, there is a time for work and a time for play. And one of SJD’s passions is a love of food. So why be selfish? He is sharing his foodie passion with fans and the general public.
