Gotta Love LA Rams as underdogs in NFL Playoffs`
By Bret Stuter
The LA Rams open as 4.5 point underdogs in round one of the NFL Playoffs, but playing as underdog is a spot they seem to play the best
The LA Rams finished the 2020 NFL regular season with a record of 10-6. But through the course of the season, they were only favored to win eight games, and were the underdog in the other eight games. So how did the Rams do as the underdog? To break that down, we need to consult our friends at Action Network.com to find the answer.
In doing so, we can determine that the LA Rams were road underdogs on six separate occasions. Not only did the Rams cover the spread on four occasions, but they won the game outright on three of those six occasions.
Game details
The Rams were home underdogs just twice this season, in the season opener and the season finale, and won both games outright. At home, the Rams covered five of the eight games. On the road, the Rams covered five of the eight games

The LA Rams opened as 4.5 point road underdogs for round one, but the odds have already shrunk to a 4.0 margin. While the early projections have already jumped out to pick Seattle, I’m not as certain. The Rams have enjoyed a 5-3 advantage over the Seahawks in the past four seasons, and the Rams are looking to break the 1-1 tie in the regular season.
This is a division rivalry. Yes, the Seattle Seahawks have been playing strong defense of late. But most of that success has come at the expense of some of the worst offenses in the NFL. Just two weeks ago, the Rams could score no more than nine points against the Seahawks. Hopefully, the Rams will have a better game plan in place for this game.
