It’s no hype. Yes, the LA Rams defense will cause headaches for Packers QB Rodgers in the NFL Playoffs Divisional Round

There are no more opportunities for bluffing folks. Both the LA Rams and the Green Bay Packers will show all their cards this Saturday. Who is healthy, who is sore, and who are simply too banged up to play will all be revealed in a matter of mere hours now. Yes, the LA Rams did sustain injuries in their victory over the Seattle Seahawks.  So was the cost of victory worth the opportunity to advance to round two?

Based on the follow-up reports reflecting the Rams’ injury updates, the answer is yes. The LA Rams have the number one defense heading into the NFL Playoffs Divisional Round.

The Packers played in more games this season against the bottom five NFL defenses than against the top ten.  Since NFL schedules allow teams to avoid practically half of the teams in the league, sometimes it less about how well a team plays and it’s more about who a team plays that ultimately determines the seeding by year’s end.

The Packers lost two of three games where they faced a top ten defense this season. The Rams bring the best of the bunch and continue to get stronger as the coaches and players become more versed in the scheme and more familiar with one another.

The LA Rams are very dangerous right now. They have been underestimated all season, and are just two years removed from winning the NFC Championship Game. They are sneaky good on special teams, more than capable on offense, and downright dominating on defense. Package all of that with a strong running game and you have a postseason contender. We’ll soon know if that is enough to send the Rams to the NFC Championship Game.
