3 offensive tackles the LA Rams should consider for left tackle
Door number one
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva is the next offensive tackle who arrived with little fanfare but has blossomed into a dominant for in the NFL. He stands 6-foot-9 and weighs 320-pounds, signed after the 2014 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. But by August of that year, he was cut and picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers in September of that year for their practice squad.
A former defensive end turned offensive lineman, Alejandro Villanueva has become one of the best NFL left tackles in the league. Since 2016, where he was named the starting left tackle, Villanueva has become an anchor of the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line, protecting Ben Roethlisberger’s blindside. Villanueva brings many things to the table, those things include:
Veteran Presence: Villanueva has been in this league for quite some time and has gone up against the best edge rushers this league has to offer. His leadership can help bring together the Rams’ young offensive line. Not to mention, he is one of their most well-respected players in the entire NFL.
Durability: Since 2017, Villanueva has not missed a game, playing In all sixteen games. For a lineman, playing in all sixteen games is quite an accomplishment. Adding Villanueva would provide consistent durability behind an aging left tackle.
