NFL Free Agency option?

Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive center Austin Reiter ended the 2020 NFL season by appearing in but losing in Super Bowl LV to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Wouldn’t it be nice to add him to the Rams roster, get him back to the Super Bowl playing for the home team, and win one with him on the roster?

A five-year veteran of the Washington Football Team, Cleveland Browns, and most recently Kansas City Chiefs, Reiter is the best option in free agency. Not only does he have experience, but he was also given the tall task of protecting Patrick Mahomes. Reiter is only thirty years old and can be plugged in to anchor the middle of the line.

In three seasons with the Chiefs, Reiter was only penalized six times and was a major part of the success of the team. Since Reiter’s arrival in 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line has been one of the best units in the entire league. From starting his career as a backup, Reiter has become one of the league’s most consistent centers.

Signing a veteran like Austin Reiter will not come cheap, however, the team can get creative. Not only is Reiter the best option right now, but he’s also their best option for the future. He has a history of protecting great quarterbacks, and Matthew Stafford would surely approve and most importantly appreciate this move.
