Another defensive lineman who could make heads spin around in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft is Pittsburgh’s powerful defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman. A redshirt junior, he is coming out of a huge 2019 season and is currently among the Top-10 defensive linemen in the 2020 NFL Draft as per NFL.com.

This 6-foot-2 290-pound behemoth is incredibly strong and powerful. It showed up in his 2019 stats when he sacked opposing quarterbacks 10.5 times to complement his 12 tackles-for-loss and 41 overall tackles.  Why no 2020? Twyman opted out of his 2020 NCAA season and used that time to prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft.

He had an impossible decision to make, either to stay with his teammates or return home to his family in Washinton D.C. He opted to help out his family and announced as such in an emotional tweet. Does this lessen his value?

Actually, this level of resolve is a strong plus in my book. He didn’t play follow the leader, and his decision was motivated with the most honorable of intentions. In short, he committed to we and did not allow me to overshadow that mindset. He may not hear his name called out in round one, but if he is selected by the LA Rams, you can bet he will commit to the hard work and diligence necessary to perfect his craft.
