The LA Rams have been assigned a number of new NFL international markets. There is next-door neighboring Mexico, a country that will be shared among nine NFL teams. There is the far eastern mystique of China, a country that has become a stronghold for the NBA. But perhaps no market is more intriguing than that of Australia, the Land Down Under.

Australia is a continent that is as mysterious as it is inviting. And that in itself has lent itself to the planning for ‘someday’ visiting the friendly borders of one of the most friendly destinations on the globe. But now, with the addition of the LA Rams marketing to Australia, that someday continues to inch closer and closer to the present.

Australians enjoy a sportsman paradise. Not just the opportunity to fish, hunt, and camp, but the unique and diverse blend of professional sports as well.  Australia and nearby New Zealand enjoy 15 professional sports leagues, from Football (soccer) to Rugby to Cricket to Basketball, they have a wide range of sports to cheer for. So the future of American Football (Gridiron) is going to have some competition to win over the hearts of sports lovers.

To win over the hearts of Australian fans, they will need the opportunity to view the LA Rams and the entire NFL. So three more years of broadcasting the NFL is a great starting point, isn’t it?

And of course, we’ll be here to help along the way to answer any questions and point out Rams highlights along the way.

When will the LA Rams play a football game, or even exhibition, in Australia? That could be a year or two away. But for now, feel free to let us know in the comments section what your thoughts are about the future of the LA Rams in Australia.
