Depth. Dependability. Determination. The Los Angeles Rams roster is loaded with talented players who, for one reason or another, have been swept aside in terms of buzz, conversations, anticipation, and projection. It's easily explained. After all, this is a team that makes significant moves to restock the roster.

In 2025, the team signed former starting center Coleman Shelton and inside linebacker Nate Landman. In 2026, the team traded for cornerback Trent McDuffie and signed his former Kansas City Chiefs teammate, cornerback Jaylen Watson.

In the grand scheme of things, those moves resulted in new starters arriving for the team. Players who were on the roster in those positions were sent off-stage. As the Hollywood red carpet rolled out for new arrivals, the media and fans forgot about the supporting cast.

Headliners. Big changes. And as fans' attention turned to grasp the impact of the new faces in Horns. It was only natural that players still on the roster were pushed to the back burner. But we're here to remedy that. Why? These are 3 forgotten Rams who could steal the spotlight in 2026 training camp, and it's something fans should anticipate. They are:

3 forgotten Rams who could steal the spotlight in 2026 training camp

1. Interior offensive lineman Beaux Limmer

When the LA Rams drafted Beaux Limmer in 2024, he was added as a depth piece to train for a future role. But Fate has other ideas, and an outbreak of injuries pushed Limmer to a starting role that season, long before he was prepared to play at an NFL postseason level of play. In 2025, he was demoted to the bench. Veteran Coleman Shelton was re-signed to replace him.

Fast forward to 2026. Limmer is still with the team. He survived the high point of his career starting at center, followed by the low point of his career, falling on LA's depth chart. Now, he's gunning to be reinstated as the starter. And with 25 pending free agents on the team, Shelton appears to be the odd man out.

2. Cornerback Emmanuel Forbes

With the arrival of veteran cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, the team was comfortable parting ways with former starters in the secondary. One player who remains with the team is Emmanuel Forbes, a player who was not picked up on his fifth-year option. That may sound like a harbinger of Forbes finding a new team, but that's not certain by any means.

Forbes may be facing a blessing in disguise. As the third cornerback, his role will be somewhat diminished. But it's also a role that seems to suit his strengths. Forbes possesses great coverage skills, but he struggles with wrapping up a receiver and tackling him. As the first option off the bench on passing downs, he will be optimized in the defense. And that will make him more confident, comfortable, and effective.

3. Inside linebacker Shaun Dolac

2025 undrafted inside linebacker Shaun Dolac is absolutely the guy fans most want to see earn a starting role in 2026. Despite a solid collegiate career at the University of Buffalo, he never heard his name called out during the 2025 NFL Draft. But he did hear his number called out as the season wore on, as he was a special teams standout.

With a year of NFL and LA Rams experience under his belt, Dolac is ready to make his move. He proved to be a tackling machine, a headsy strategist, and an unstoppable force. Now, he simply needs to prove durability and dependability. That should not be too difficult.

All in all, fans may be anticipating huge seasons from new faces. But these 3 Rams veterans are perfectly positioned to make the most noise in training camp. Now, you won't be surprised when that happens.

As always, thanks for reading.
