What in the world is going on with all of the Cooper Kupp reporting lately? The former LA Rams wide receiver is reportedly not going to take too long to figure out where he's going to play next.
As of Friday morning, it looked very likely that Kupp was headed to the Dallas Cowboys.
ESPN's Adam Schefter had reported the Cowboys were working on a deal for Kupp, so that was it, right? Kupp to the Cowboys looked to be all but a done deal.
But then, after Schefter reported that news, he took back to his social accounts to backtrack just a bit.
Schefter said that one of his sources stated the Cowboys made a "push" for Kupp, but the Cowboys are not his likely landing spot.
The Cooper Kupp free agency tour is back to where it originally began
Well, that might be a bit of an exaggeration. But, do we really know what's happening at this point?
We've seen reports of teams like the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints being in on Kupp. But, with how this recent string of news from Schefter has unfolded, it appears his next team is truly anyone's guess.
This looks to be a case where, until something actually happens, nobody knows anything.
There have already been several different reports, rumors and so-called sources leaking different information. But, again, if Schefter is going to backtrack this quick, do we really know what's going on?
In short, no, we don't have a clue.
What makes the most sense for Kupp is to join a contending team, but while that's true, it would also make sense for him not to travel too far from home. How about the LA Chargers? That would seem to be a great spot for him as well.
For now, we'll continue to wait and see how it all unfolds.
What we do know in regards to Kupp's free agency tour, at this point, is ... well, not a whole lot. We thought we knew something, but it turns out, that isn't exactly the truth.
This is certainly a "wait and find out" situation at this stage.
