Bills best not be caught sleeping by Rams' disgruntled Davante Adams

A storm is brewing by the name of Davante Adams.

The final score in Week 4 showed the Los Angeles Rams emerging with a rare victory in Philadelphia against the Eagles. But individually, veteran wide receiver Davante Adams did not have a very good game, managing to haul in only four of nine passes for 32 yards.

He even had a couple of drops, including one in the end zone. Adams knows he did not perform up to expectations. And he wasn't happy with himself.

In the hilarious context of how approaches golf during the season, Adamsshared his frustration on a recent episode of the St. Brown Podcast, co-hosted by Lions receiver Am-Ra St. Brown.

"We all have a game like me last game, I hated this last game I had. We beat the Eagles, and I'm grateful that we won the game, but personally I feel like I played like s***. So, me being p****d off for three days, or on the off day, do I go hit some balls and play some golf?"

A ticked-off Adams is on a collision course with the Buffalo Bills in Week 5. And they don't even know it yet.

Bills should be prepared for an angry Davante Adams

Adams does not make idle threats. In 2025, he struggled to remain consistent. But for the most part this season, he has been a consistent difference-maker on an offense that has been unusually inconsistent.

Despite his disappointing performance in Week 4, he remains LA's top receiver. And now, he's got a chip on his shoulder.

No, he didn't play well in Week 4. But he put up nearly 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Week 2 against the New York Giants. When he's on, he can get red hot. In confronting Adams, the Bills secondary may be biting off more than it can chew.

It's not as though Buffalo won't have its hands full trying to stop other Rams playmakers. Wide receiver Puka Nacua is back, and he is happy to pick up any slack the Bills give him. The offense has gotten solid receiving output from running back Kyren Williams, tight end Tyler Higbee, and wide receiver Konata Mumpfield.

If Buffalo leans too heavily into stopping the passing game, the one-two punch of Williams and Blake Corum will be more than glad to run wild.

Adams rarely gets emotional. Even criticizing his recent performance, he was calm and collected. But his smoldering tone was undeniable. That's a receiver who wants to get back on the field and set things right.

Will Adams deliver? Wise money won't bet against him. He was frustrated last season. He won't be content after a poor Week 4.

As always, thanks for reading.
