The LA Rams offense has not exactly lived up to the hype so far in 2024. The offense, the most expensive unit in the NFL this season, has faltered in the red zone, at third-down conversions, and at a lack of ball security, has been its own greatest enemy. The Rams offense needed to wake up from its season-long slumber. It appears that the Buffalo Bills brought an alarm clock.
Of course, before we allow both feet to leave the ground, the Rams defense did put seven points on the scoreboard. So the Rams offense accounted for 17 points, and the Rams defense accounted for 7 points. But to be fair, all points are welcome in this game. And the team may need every first half point possible, as the Bills defense is particularly stingy in the second half all season.
#Bills D has not allowed more than 7 points in 10 of 12 second halves this year

Might not be able to give up more than that today
That's not great news for an offense that has not put up this many points in eight of 12 games this season. But before we update the score, let's bask in the warmth of an NFL offense that moves the football and scores regularly. The Rams offense has never looked this good, and the energy has transferred to the young defense as well.
The Rams have scored 24 first half points for the first time since scoring 31 in the first half vs. Denver in Week 16 of 2022. It's the first time Buffalo has allowed 24 first half points since Week 14 of 2021 against Tampa Bay.

While there is plenty of football to play, the Rams are getting a lot of production out of RB Kyren Williams and WR Puka Nacua. Williams has rushed 20 times for 63 yards but has rushed for two touchdowns. Nacua has hauled in nine of 10 targets for 103 yards while churning out three rushes for 18 yards.
The Rams put up a first-half lead of 24-14. But the Rams' defense forced a punt to open the second half. The Rams offense drove 78 yards in 5:20 to increase their lead by a score of 31-14.
Unfortunately, the Bills offense is still as dangerous as ever. They proceeded to drive 80 yards in six plays, and needed just 4:32 to score a touchdown.
The Rams still have a lead, but no lead is safe against the Buffalo Bills offense until the final whistle blows. Stay tuned. This game may be closing the third quarter, but there is plenty of football to go.
And the Rams just scored another touchdown.
As Q3 ends
Buffalo Bills 21
Los Angeles Rams 38
