Has anyone noticed that Rams WR Demarcus Robinson scores a lot?

4 TDs in the past 2 games is awfully impressive.

The LA Rams had a sure-fire scorer through the first seven games in the 2024 NFL season. Running back Kyren Williams had scored at least one touchdown in each of the past 10 regular season games before Week 9. But that streak ended in Week 9 at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks defense, led by run-stuffing inside linebacker Ernest Jones.

It had to end sometime.

And yet, the offense must find someone who can find the endzone. After all, despite the team's Week 8 offensive explosion, this has been a rather underperforming offensive group. The total team's offensive output in 2024 has been 170 points in eight games. That ranks as the 18th-best offensive output. But 22 of those points were scored by this defense. That drops the offense to 148 points in eight games, or down to the 26th-ranked offense.

Hmm.

Well, before we urge the team to go on a shopping spree at the NFL Trade Deadline, perhaps a player is already stepping up for the team.

The game-winning TD pass from Stafford to Robinson is worth another look

Despite being shut out for the first six games of the season, veteran WR Demarcus Robinson is roaring back to relevance. He clearly has been a huge beneficiary of the team welcoming back both WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

In the past two games since the Rams receivers have returned, Robinson has been on a tear. In the past two games, he has hauled in eight of 12 passes for 129 yards. But perhaps more impressive is the fact that 50 percent of his receptions in the past two games have been touchdowns.

That includes this beauty of a touchdown bomb to win Week 9 in overtime:

Robinson has scored four touchdowns in the past two games, and five touchdowns in the past four games. The thing is, if secondaries rotate their assignments to upgrade the coverage on Robinson, then either Puka Nacua or Cooper Kupp scores.

The defense knows that. Rams HC Sean McVay knows that too.

Just like a contractor knows that you must have the right tool to get the job done, the Rams know that this offense must have the right player in the right role.

Robinson may not be built to lead this team in catches and receiving yards. But when he lines up with Kupp and Nacua on the football field, he finds a way to score. Four touchdowns in two games is bonkers. He is the team's third leading scorer (30 points), behind RB Kyren Williams (60 points) and K Joshua Karty (48 points).

Has anyone noticed that Rams WR Demarcus Robinson scores a lot? I suppose several fans have noticed. But so far, not much is being discussed about it. Hopefully, that changes soon. Much like 2023, the Rams winning streak is due to Robinson's ability to score.
