The Los Angeles Rams needed a strong effort in Week 2. But by halftime, L.A. found itself trailing by a score of 13-10, and all the momentum seemed to be leaning in favor of the Tennessee Titans. It was a halftime score that seemed to shake the confidence of fans, while putting the likelihood of an upset on center stage.

This was a tough game for many reasons. The Titans matchup was sandwiched between a Week 1 formidable foe, the Houston Texans, and the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. This was a road game for the Titans offense that desperately needed to rally on offense. And after the defense allowed the Titans to score 10 unanswered points

But halftime is the great equalizer.

After a stagnant offense in the first half and for the first six quarters of 2025, head coach Sean McVay's offense finally erupted for 23 points in the second half. It was the second-half offensive explosion that truly put the game away, 33-19, and led his team to a fantastic 2-0 start to what could be a special 2025 NFL season.

5 instant observations from a huge Rams Week 2 victory

So what should the fans take away from this victory? Here are five instant observations.

Rams finally unleash veteran WR Davante Adams

After catching six of his first 16 passes, Adams went on to haul in four second-half passes, pushing his 2025 totals to 10 of 21 for 163 yards and a touchdown. While it's not the numbers Adams or fans may have expected early this season, it was enough to get him his first touchdown in Horns, and it clearly put him as one of the offense's key weapons as the team pivots to Week 3.

Rams rushing attack showed a pulse with RB Blake Corum

The Rams' rushing attack was buoyed by wide receiver Puka Nacua's 45-yard touchdown run in the first half. But the Titans defense seemed to corral running back Kyren Williams.

Surprisingly, the offense trotted out second-year running back Blake Corum, who injected a B-12 booster shot into the ground attack. Corum ended the game with five rushes for 44 yards and a touchdown, averaging 8.8 yards per carry.

The offense needed his energy, as points started to pile up as soon as he got on track.

Puka Nacua is key to offensive success this season

Nacua put up 11 of 12 catches for 130 yards and one rush for a yard in Week 1. But he followed that up with eight of nine catches for 91 yards and one rush for 45 yards and a touchdown in Week 2.

But most importantly, he was the offense's primary weapon early in the game when little else seemed to work.

Rams almost caught looking ahead to Eagles

Was this simply a matter of Los Angeles looking past the Titans to its Week 3 opponent, the Eagles? That could be one explanation, but there was more to it than simply being an almost-trap game.

Eotional Titans fans were squarely behind the team in this one, and their energy buoyed their squad to give extraordinary effort. It certainly helped rookie quarterback Cam Ward to a much better performance.

Thankfully, the Rams offense finally woke up and realized that it could score.

Davis Allen has a nose for the end zone

Tight end Davis Allen has just three targets so far in 2025. He caught two of those passes for 21 yards. And both of his receptions have resulted in a touchdown.

Much of the uncertainty of the offense in 2025 was determining who would compensate for the loss of wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson, who combined for 13 touchdowns last season.

In just two games, Allen has already scored more touchdowns than in his first two NFL seasons.

There is plenty to digest about this game, and we'll be working hard to share as much as possible until we pivot to what will be a huge NFC showdown in Week 3 as L.A. travels to face the Eagles.
