When it comes to the 10-3 Los Angeles Rams, veteran wide receiver Davante Adams is a pretty big deal. You see, Adams on the football field in Horns means points on the scoreboard. Not only is he worth more than a touchdown per game on his own efforts, but his presence arguably results in at least one more touchdown from his teammates.

But his health has not been optimal of late. He has been nursing a stubborn hamstring injury that continues to list him in the questionable category on game day, a status he has been listed under for nearly a month. And so, many NFL fans and fantasy football players question whether he can go in Week 15.

Per head coach Sean McVay, he "would be very surprised" if Adams does not play. That's significant because Los Angeles is hosting the 8-5 Detroit Lions in a game whose outcome either buoys Detroit's postseason aspirations or locks LA into the NFL playoffs for the third consecutive season.

Davante Adams has been a consistent contributor in 2025

While he is only breaking into the top 30 NFL wide receivers in terms of receiving yards, Adams has scored 14 touchdowns in 13 games. That is a solid five touchdowns more than the next receiver on the list. The reason for the disparity is easily explained.

The former Green Bay Packers superstar specializes in red zone touchdowns. His separation superpower makes him impossible to cover after the snap of the football, and that forces secondaries to either double him up and leave a teammate uncovered, or hope for single coverage, which rarely works.

Adams has fought through a nagging hamstring injury for nearly a month. His game day status has remained questionable, but he always seems to show up. Since Week 7, he has scored 11 touchdowns in six games. That includes failing to score in Week 14, as he sat out the latter part of the game when the score ensured a victory.

Adams has played 14 games against the Detroit Lions, catching 72 of 113 passes for 789 yards and seven touchdowns. Curiously, many of those games found him on the opposite bench from quarterback Matthew Stafford. It will be the first time the duo has joined forces to face Motor City's football team. Grab your popcorn, as this ought to be good.
