The Los Angeles Rams may not be immediately viewed as a team in the market for an elite pass rusher. With the combination of outside linebackers Byron Young and Jared Verse anchoring the two starting roles, rumors that have identified Las Vegas Raiders elite edge rusher Maxx Crosby's next team have frequently bypassed LA.
Of course, general manager Les Snead has been cited as monitoring the situation.
Maxx Crosby is dominating the NFL headlines right now. The Baltimore Ravens balked at trading two first-round picks for Crosby, a price that seemed excessive when the trade particulars were first announced.
But in the aftermath, could the Raiders slash the asking price?
But before you form an answer in your mind, a just-published video of The Rush Podcast with host Maxx Crosby features Crosby engaging in discussions with LA's edge rusher Jared Verse. While the Ravens' failed physical did not come up, the chemistry between Crosby and Verse was apparent.

Much of the conversation was about edge rushers defending against the run. And Maxx Crosby detailed his feud with then-LA running back Cam Akers. Note the way Verse mentioned Crosby's reputation in the Los Angeles locker room.
"You're (Maxx Crosby) a nightmare"Jared Verse
Crosby even advised Verse to take up boxing, a clear sign that there is solid chemistry. And you can hear the respect in Crosby's voice as he mentions the Rams young defensive front.
The interview will make many fans believers in Maxx Crosby to Rams
Maxx Crosby comes across as a much better fit for the LA Rams than originally thought. He was laid back, respectful, a bit colorful language, but he is incredibly generous with his advice to Jared Verse. And the podcast frequently breaks out with raucous laughter.
Crosby does get into injuries around the 20:00 mark. Ironically, it was his latest knee injury that ultimately led to the Ravens disqualifying him during his medical exam. And yet, Crosby shows no signs of that surgery. He isn't wearing a knee brace. He isn't favoring the leg. He admitted that 2025 was the first time in his NFL career that he missed games.
Another story that surfaced was the fact that when Byron Young and Jared Verse had a race, Verse tweaked his hamstring mid-race. That was never public knowledge. But it does make for a hilarious recap.
Why should Rams fans pay any heed to Crosby? NFL analyst and insider Dan Orlovsky says it best. Any team that is a Super Bowl contender that believes Maxx Crosby can help win in the postseason should be inquiring.
And yes, for the right exchange, he could help LA.
As always, thanks for reading.
