From the moment that the Los Angeles Rams had to face the retirement of All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald, there has been an enclave of fans who have not given up hope that he would unretire. But the team had to give him due cause to do so, and by that I don't mean desperation or need. Donald has paid his dues. He doesn't need the Rams or the NFL any longer.
But by now, he misses the camaraderie, the esprit de corps, the familial bond of the team. And if the circumstances are right, this team could lure him out of retirement. Is it a pipe dream? Perhaps. But there was an exchange on social media that makes far too much sense to be ignored.

Donald teased that if the Rams can trade for Dallas Cowboys OLB Micah Parsons, he may be prompted to get back into football shape and unretire. And right in step with the exchange, Micah Parsons replied to Donald, advising him not to share that information, and copied his agent, David Mulugheta.

Just, wow...
Aaron Donald unretiring to play with Micah Parsons (on the Rams) would be objectively insane in the best way
Several teams are more likely landing sites for Parsons than LA until now. Whether it's a chance to reunite with Washington Commanders HC Dan Quinn or return home to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to play for the Steelers, NFL analysts and insiders have tossed every conceivable rumor angle at NFL fans.
But no other team offers Parsons a chance to line up alongside Rams All-Pro DT Aaron Donald. And the thought of teaming up is as attractive to the 26-year-old star pass rusher as it is to Donald. But is it possible?
The future Hall of Famer was with the Rams when they lured veteran DB Eric Weddle out of retirement to help earn them a victory in Super Bowl LVI. So he knows that it can be done and how it can uplift the entire team by doing so.
A crazy pipe dream? Or the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster movie? You can decide. But we did warn Cowboys fans to keep Rams HC Sean McVay away from Micah Parsons. While the two never seemed to exchange business cards, a greater threat appears to be forming. The thought of playing for the Rams and lining up next to Aaron Donald may be too much to resist.
Stay tuned. This just got very interesting. And as always, thanks for reading.
