The Los Angeles Rams certainly know how to market the team. Rather than sell merchandise and peddle cliches, the social media crew produced a series of insider videos that afford fans a sneak peek backstage. Through a team documentary series titled Behind the Grind - L.A.'s very own Hard Knocks - Rams personnel share the real story behind the organization's decisions, developments, and successes.

It's not cinematography that wins fans over. It's the real-life drama that percolates behind the scenes with each new offseason and draft. Rams players themselves, are of course, the main characters. Authenticity pervades the film footage. "Episode 2" paid homage quarterback Matthew Stafford winning his first MVP. Ultimately, though, the subject is the team.

The episode was released in late May, but if you haven't peeped it yet, it's perfect viewing material for the downtime between now and the start of training camp in late July. One of the topics touched on is the offseason's dramatic restocking of the roster. And wow, did the Rams ever restock the roster. But it also emphasized re-signing veterans like tight end Tyler Higbee, who signed a two-year deal in free agency, and safety Kam Curl, who inked his three-year extension days before the free-agent signing period began.

Rams have another active offseason in the books

It's no surprise that general manager Les Snead had a definitive plan to fix the secondary. The Rams' unit fell sorely short in in the playoffs, and that put Snead on the hunt for upgrades. In trading for All-Pro Trent McDuffie and signing free agent Jaylen Watson, the defense secured an instant boost at its position of greatest need. In other news, the team also added some guy named Myles Garrett.

That the Rams selected a first-round quarterback in this year's draft caught many by surprise, but not everyone. Many if not most fans have come around on the Ty Simpson pick as one that makes perfect sense for the trajectory of the franchise, investing in the future while still prioritizing the present with other moves.

To that point, the Horns were content to emerge with the smallest draft class in franchise history. But Snead was deliberate in his approach. None of these rookies has a guaranteed path to a regular role in 2026, but each draft addition plants a seed for a potential future cornerstone. Just watch Tim Keenan III's highlights at the end of the episode. You'd never know the Alabama nose tackle was a seventh-rounder.

Another NFL season begins. Another Rams roster has been constructed from the ground up. All that remains for fans is to sit back, enjoy, and watch the team grow together.

As always, thanks for reading.
