5 best-case schedule scenarios for the LA Rams in the 2024 season
By Bret Stuter
Rams 2024 opponents
The LA Rams finished in second place in the NFC West in 2023. That means that the team will compete against other second-place teams from last season. That adds a bit of difficulty to this years schedule that the Arizona Cardinals, the 2023 fourth-place finisher, will not face this year.
We have already broken down the toughest home and road opponents in 2024. We have even laid out the worst-case scenarios for the 2024 schedule. For a twist, we've even pointed to 2024 games that could be considered grudge matches. But we haven't talked about what best-case scenarios might look like.
HOME (9 games)
- Arizona Cardinals (4-13)
- San Francisco 49ers (12-5)
- Seattle Seahawks (9-8)
- Buffalo Bills (11-6)
- Green Bay Packers (9-8)
- Las Vegas Raiders (8-9)
- Miami Dolphins (11-6)
- Minnesota Vikings (7-10)
- Philadelphia Eagles (11-6)
The Rams avoid nasty travel to the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Miami Dolphins. The Rams finally host the Green Bay Packers after what seems like 20 consecutive appearances at Lambeau Field (it was far fewer). While the Rams will face significant travel miles in 2024 (just like every season), the team benefits from hosting some of the more competitive NFL teams at SoFi Stadium this season.
AWAY (8 games)
- Arizona Cardinals (4-13)
- San Francisco 49ers (12-5)
- Seattle Seahawks (9-8)
- Chicago Bears (7-10)
- Detroit Lions (12-5)
- New England Patriots (4-13)
- New Orleans Saints (9-8)
- New York Jets (7-10)
The Rams must pack their bags and take on eight teams on the road. But only four of the Rams eight travel games face 2023 opponents with winning records. Of course, the New York Jets will welcome back veteran QB Aaron Rodgers, so that could prove to be a very difficult game as well.
So what makes best-case scheduling scenarios for the Rams? Here are our Top five:
