(3) - DB Tre'Davious White

Whether it was a new secondary, simply knocking the rust of inactivity off, or the challenges created by facing a very good Detroit Lions receiver group, the debut of defensive back Tre'Davious White was not exactly all of the bells and whistle that Rams fans had hoped that it might deliver. Still, he was one cog in the machinery that did grind Lions QB Jared Goff and the Lions off-applauded passing game down to a paler version of itself.

We know that the Arizona Cardinals would love to unleash rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. at some point in the season. But so far, Marvin Harrison Jr. has done little more than voice his frustrations, and Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is back to his old tricks of throwing his coaches under the bus willy-nilly. That makes for a lot of off-field drama, but what does that matter to the second game for Tre White?

This could be a major storyline.

If the Rams can frustrate the connection of Murray to Harrison, the benefits could be exponential. The Rams need to get a game in hand, switch into controlling the game clock, and not put any more players at risk of injury. And if the secondary can hold Murray to under 200 passing yards, and Harrison to few catches and receiving yards, the Cardinals locker room could implode at halftime.

I think that there is much more in White's arsenal than we witnessed in Week 1. Week 2 could be the first of many games in which White gets an interception. And so far, White has never failed to deliver at least one interception per season in his career. Murray is due.
