As LA Rams prepare for SNF debut, Lions and Rams have new competing videos

After winning two playoff games, and leading the Detroit Lions to within four points of playing in Super Bowl LVIII, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is a bit of a celebrity in the Motor City. Since hiring on with the team in 2021, he has shown dramatic progress with the Lions, as he has led them to ever-improving records of:

• 2021 - 3-13-1
• 2022 - 9-8
• 2023 - 12-5, NFL Playoffs 2-1

This year, the Lions are already in the conversation about appearing in Super Bowl LIX. As such, Coach Campbell is the toast of the town. And with popularity, comes marketability. A perfect example of such is this latest Applebee's commercial that was released recently. In this commercial, Coach Campbell is the server, and coaches his customers in the proper etiquette of ordering to prevent other customers of ordering the same thing:

Of course, the irony is that the commercial came out just before the LA Rams travel to face the Detroit Lions in Week 1 on Sunday Night Football. It's a treat for the fans of the Detroit Lions to enjoy their head coach in a non-football setting.
