The Los Angeles Rams missed the postseason in 2022 while the Seahawks surprised many and made the postseason. However, can Los Angeles spoil the team's start to 2023 with an upset win?

Our lead betting analyst Iain MacMillian is locked in on the Rams outlasting the Seahawks in this divisional showdown despite catching more than two-to-one odds on the visitors.

Rams vs. Seahawks Odds, Spread and Total

As part of Iain's "Road to 272" where he picks every NFL game for the 2023 season, he has staked his claim on the Rams winning this game outright!

MacMillian notes that Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith began to slow down as the season went on. After leading the league in turnover-worthy plays last season, Smith could be vulnerable for some harsh regression in 2023.

"Smith won Comeback Player of the Year award in 2022, but now the question remains if he'll be able to build on that success in 2023," MacMillian writes. "His play started to regress as the season went on, mainly due to him throwing turnovers. If Seattle wants to return to the playoffs, they'll need Smith to replicate last year's success."

It was just two years ago that the Rams were Super Bowl Champions. After an injury-laden season, Matthew Stafford is back under center and Aaron Donald is ready to get into backfields.

"I think these two teams are a lot closer in ability than people think. We can't over-value last year's results. A lot of things went right for the Seahawks and a million things went wrong for the Rams," MacMillian wrote in his game preview.

"These odds aren't set right in my opinion. It should be much closer to a pick'em than what the current odds indicate. Therefore, you can keep your points. Give me the Rams to win this game out."

Let's see if the Rams can pull a Week 1 shocker!
