There are two things that make a television producer salivate. The first is record setting advertising dollars. The second is a record-setting audience. Clearly the producers got both when the LA Rams faced the Detroit Lions in the NFC Wild Card Round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs. In fact, it was the most-viewed football game since the Super Bowl:

Armed with that much national appeal, you can bet that the networks all wanted to broadcast the 2024 rematch between the LA Rams and the Detroit Lions. And so, the Rams versus Lions regular season game is the crown jewel for Sunday Night Football, and will kickoff the 2024 NFL season

For the Rams, that is just one of two games on Sunday Night Football. The team will return to host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12. These are two of the Rams' five Prime Time appearances, significantly higher than the Rams' lone appearance in a Prime Time game in 2023. If you want to see how the Rams will do, check out the Game-by-Game predictions. But for a Sunday Night Football schedule, here are the NFL games for 2024:

Here's the complete Sunday Night Football schedule for 2024:

I believe that, even on the road, the Rams will be well prepared to take on the Detroit Lions in Week 1. Starting QB Matthew Stafford is none-too-happy that Lions fans crossed the line and ruthlessly trolled his wife and daughters in the NFL Playoffs. In that game, Stafford was happy to play the villain role. In this rematch, this is not a scripted role. This game will be personal. Don't miss this game if you are a Rams fan.

The Week 12 game at SoFi Stadium against the Philadelphia Eagles could be more problematic. The Eagles has a solid draft, and added two of my top four defensive backs on the draft board in Toledo DB Quinyon Mitchell and Iowa DB Cooper DeJean. By Week 12, they will have acclimated to the NFL, and could mean tough sledding in terms of the Rams finding success at passing the football.

The Rams appear in five Prime Time games this season. Hopefully, they can win them all. But win or lose, I know that I will be cheering for them.
