While the LA Rams seem to be better off this season in terms of serious injuries, particularly when it comes to their offensive line, this is still a group of players who have experienced their fair share of injuries to starters. And with every lost starter comes a new configuration to the offensive line, and the risk of poor communications and missed assignments. That was certainly the story in Game 3, when left tackle Alaric Jackson was injured against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Havenstein's only extended absence occurred in 2019 when the LA Rams offensive line was decimated with injuries. He missed the final seven games of the season and was replaced with former Rams offensive tackle Bobby Evans.

Rob Havenstein Injury Status for today's game against the Dallas Cowboys

LA Rams right tackle Rob Havenstein has been the Rock of Gibraltar for the Rams offensive line since former left tackle Andrew Whitworth retired. Throughout the chaos and turmoil of offensive linemen injuries in 2022, Havenstein suited up and competed in each and every game.

Rob Havenstein injury history

While one of the most dependable offensive linemen on the Rams roster, Rob Havenstein has had his share of bumps and bruises in the past.

  • Calf injury: December 13 -21, 2021 - 2 games
  • Knee Injury: November 17 - December 29, 2019 - 7 games

Who would replace Rob Havenstein in the lineup?

As of right now, if Havenstein cannot go, the Rams would likely promote swing tackle Joe Noteboom to hold down the fort at right tackle. With Noteboom's experience at right guard earlier in the season, he is the best option at the position until Havenstein can play once more.

Dallas Cowboys injury report

The Dallas Cowboys, coming off a BYE, are relatively unaffected by injuries for Week 8:

  • OT Tyron Smith - Neck - Questionable

LA Rams injury report

Even as the Rams run the risk of no Rob Havenstein for Week 8, the team faces a number of injuries that may impact the gaem.

  • LB Ernest Jones IV - Knee - Questionable
  • WR Ben Skowronek - Achilles - Questionable
  • RT Rob Havenstein - Calf - Questionable
  • TE Hunter Long - Hamstring - OUT

UPDATE: Rams RT Rob Havenstein is OUT for Game 8. Another curious player who will not suit up today is rookie RB Zach Evans.

The LA Rams and Dallas Cowboys kickoff at 10:00 am PT today on October 29, 2023. Let's hope for a solid performance from the Rams, and a healthy outcome for all players.
