LA Rams finally set up shop at their newly constructed Woodland Hills facility

It's state of the art, and a fitting home for an NFL Championship football organization.

When the LA Rams returned to Los Angeles, California in 2016, the goal was to reestablish an NFL team in one of the largest and most lucrative markets in the nation. Of course, you don't just show up as a football team and hope for the best. And so, the Rams football organization patiently wait on the construction of the new crown-jewel of the NFL, SoFi Stadium. If you have not been to a football game there, you are absolutely missing out on an architectural gem.

But while SoFi Stadium is an incredible fan experience, it is not necessarily the same level of 'wow,' to the players. At most, Rams play there a grand total of 10 times in any given year, divided between preseason and regular season games. So in terms of bang for the buck? Not so much.

But the Rams football team was by no means 'done.' The team planned to construct a new Woodlawn Hills training facility complex, complete with two separate practice fields, offices, and so much more. Construction for the new facility started in 2023 and the facility can be found at 21555 Oxnard Street, at the intersection of Canoga Avenue and Erwin Street.

Early designs shared publicly indicate that the design of the Rams training facility will have a modern motif, made up of modular structures containing offices, a weight room, a locker room, and a media room. As mentioned, there are two practice fields. Although it will be the new home facility for the Rams training facility, Rams CEO and owner Stan Kroenke revealed plans to develop the area into a mix of residential, commercial, and retail uses, as well as new green spaces and community amenities.

Today was the debut of the team's new training facility, and everyone in attendance was thrilled with the new site:

Of course, the team had the required press conference to acknowledge the official move of the LA Rams to the new training facility, but the speed at which the crew worked to make today's opening ceremony take place cannot be overstated.

HC Sean McVay did a good job of tipping the hat in their direction:

For more video footage, Rams reporter Stu Jackson panned the football fields to share visual with the fans:

While it takes the players to win, sometimes an investment into new training facilities can attract the right type of players.

Keep an eye on the Rams going forward. This is just one more step towards not only creating an NFL Championship team, but an NFL Championship organization.
