LA Rams inactives list for Week 4 game against the Chicago Bears
By Bret Stuter
The LA Rams are heading into Week 4 to try and claim their second victory of the 2024 NFL Season. It's been a difficult season so far, as many of the team's key starters and contributors have been set upon by an early injury epidemic. Gone from the active roster are such players as IOL Steve Avila, WR Puka Nacua, DB Darious Williams, and even WR Cooper Kupp is not suiting up.
And yet, this team must travel to Chicago Illinois to take on the Chicago Bears on a blustery September afternoon at Soldier Field.
This is an important game for the Rams. You can see evidence of that in the fact that the team has elevated both PR/WR Xavier Smith and DB Ahkello Witherspoon from the practice squad. But all NFL teams are limited to 48 active players on game day. So who have the Rams and the Bears declared to be inactive for their Week 4 contest?

Inactives list for Bears in Week 4

Inactive lists have been updated with the official inactives
Key Absences and Their Impact
Offensive Impact
- The absence of veteran WR Cooper Kupp will strain the offense to find a suitable target in the passing game. Look for the offense to try completing passes to WR Demarcus Robinson and rookie WR Jordan Whittington in this one.
- The offense has been leaning heavily upon veteran RB Kyren Williams. The team has to get rookie RB Blake Corum integrated into the offense in this game.
- With the return of TE Davis Allen, this team has a trio of solid blocking tight ends to mix and match throughout the game. Look for the team to use TE Colby Parkinson frequently in Week 4.
Defensive Impact
- The Rams have been getting plenty of quarterback pressure from their defensive front. But the team needs quarterback sacks. The pass rush comes through in Week 4, as the Rams emerge with 3.0+ quarterback sacks in Week 4.
- The Rams secondary has been shredded throughout 2024. I cannot see that changing, as rookie WR Rome Odunze is likely to put up 100+ receiving yards and a touchdowns.
- The Rams DBs have not been able to create turnovers. They do so in the windy confines of Soldier Field, as the team can creates two or more turnovers, and the secondary has a shot at its first multiple interception afternoon.
Special Teams Impact
- Starting kicker Joshua Karty may miss his first field goal in windy Chicago, but he won't miss if the game is on the line.
- PR Xavier Smith is legit. He will average not less than 15.0 yards per punt return today
The Los Angeles Rams were able to win in Week 3 thanks to contributions from all three phases of the team against the San Francisco 49ers. Look for similar effort in Week 4 as the team knows that they must rally together to have any hope of victory.
And as always, thanks for reading.
