LA Rams pre-2023 NFL Draft meeting tracker

With the arrival of the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, NFL teams begin the task of vetting rookie prospects through a series of meetings, interviews, and draft profile reviews in order to assemble their NFL Draft Big Board. Who might the LA Rams be looking at? We asked for the assistance of Hunter Haas, a site expert for Fansided NFL Mocks, a website dedicated to full coverage of the NFL Combine and Draft, and almost any rookie prospect you might think the Rams may have an interest in.

We assembled our LA Rams Top 50 Big Board months ago, and the list continues to seem more and more likely as the results of the NFL Scouting Combine come in. Will the Rams stick exclusively to our board? That is highly unlikely. But the goal is not to represent who the LA Rams will select, but how deep this 2023 draft class is, and in which rounds the Rams may find players to add to a very needy roster.

As NFL teams plot their strategy, there are some teams whose rosters are already playoff-ready, and simply need to load up on roster depth. On the other hand, there are those teams who are in need of starters, and perhaps a new franchise quarterback, from the 2023 NFL Draft class. While this may not be a draft class with elite heads-and-shoulders-above elite talent, there are plenty of quarterbacks who are attracting attention from NFL scouts and analysts that suggest that as many as six quarterbacks may hear their names called in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Rams Meetings tracker: Thirty-two (33) meetings

Some NFL teams show their hand with the rookie prospects that they choose to meet with. I have not found much of a correlation between who the Rams reportedly meet with and their draft selections. Still, it is one more data point to track in the days leading up to the draft. So who are the LA Rams meeting with? That's always been a difficult matter to confirm. So far, we have gathered reports of three such LA Rams pre-draft meetings and will continue to track meetings until draft day.
