Los Angeles Rams have crucial early season test after 2024 schedule release

The 2024 NFL Schedules have officially been released, and for the Los Angeles Rams, they have a very crucial early-season test. We are now months away from the start of the regular season, but with the schedules now out, we can get a peek at who the Rams will face and when during the upcoming season.

Their 10-7 season in 2023 was a true breakout year for the team, and with the amount of substantive young talent they have on the roster, it's not crazy to think that the team can finish with a better record in 2024. Well, the NFL schedule-makers did not do the LA Rams many favors with the 2024 schedule, especially when you look at the first quarter-ish of their season.

Week 1 - @ Detroit Lions
Week 2 - @ Arizona Cardinals
Week 3 - vs. San Francisco 49ers
Week 4 - @ Chicago Bears

In the first quarter of the 2024 NFL Season, the Rams will play three games on the road and just one at home, and in that chunk, I see as many as three playoff teams. I don't believe I need to elaborate much on why the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers are great football teams, but I also would not count out the Chicago Bears.

Chicago managed a 7-10 record last year with bottom-5 QB play from Justin Fields, and their defense ended the season holding opponents to less than 20 points per game. That game in Chicago might have you pencil in a W there, but I would not be so sure. A disastrous 1-3 start could really put the LA Rams at a huge disadvantage early in the season.

And to make matters a bit worse, their bye week is Week 6, so it's very early in the season. It'd be nicer to have the bye right in the middle of the season. Anyway, this is a huge early-season test for the 2024 Los Angeles Rams.
