The more I see from the possibilities and opportunities for the LA Rams in the 2024 NFL Draft, the more I am convinced that the team can emerge as a true Super Bowl contender with the right prospects in the right positions. Ultimately, it will come down to the draft day decisions from GM Les Snead and HC Sean McVay that determine who will, and who will not, join the roster in 2024.

This is a crucial year for the team. While the team already has earned a place in discussions for the 2025 NFL Playoffs, there are plenty of doubters who have downgraded the team's chances as soon as All-Pro DL Aaron Donald announced his retirement. Are they wrong? If you look at the defensive side of the football, this is a young group of players.

The starters on defense with the most longevity with the team are Ernest Jones, Michael Hoecht, and Christian Rozeboom. Both Hoecht and Rozeboom were signed to the team after the 2020 NFL Draft. Jones was drafted by the team in the 2021 NFL Draft with the 104th overall pick. So there is room for skeptics to have reasons for doubt.

Rams multiply picks to round out a robust roster

We have asserted that the Buffalo Bills will be eager to trade up in Round 1 to grab a Day 1 starter for their receiver room. It's no wild speculation to accept that the LA Rams would be willing to trade back to fill their existing gap in Round 4 of the draft. in the latest NFL Mock Draft to multiply 11 picks into 13 picks, thanks to the desperation of the Buffalo Bills to trade up for a Day 1 starting WR.

In this trade, the Rams package picks 19 and 99 to claim the Buffalo Bills picks at 28, 60, 128 and 133. That allows the team to keep the better pick in Round 3, and compels the Bills to pay a premium to trade up in Round 1 (as is often the case).

In this Rams mock draft, we don't stop after four rounds. Rather, we project all seven rounds to illustrate how deep this draft class is. We also remind you not to gloss over later-round picks, as the team has demonstrated an uncanny ability to find starters and stars on Day 3. Okay, all set?
