Believe it or not, we had mocked Arkansas Beaux Limmer to the LA Rams a week ago in our very last pre-draft mock draft but did so in Round 5 of that draft. At the time, we loved Limmer's versatility, his snarling manner, and his powerful mountainous profile that reaches 6-foot-5 and tips the scales at 302 pounds.

He may be viewed as a center as his primary role, but he is versatile enough to plug and play at any of the team's interior offensive line positions. That is vital to this team after losing a net of two interior offensive linemen in the offseason. Now, with Limmer's arrival, the depth chart for the Rams has plenty of options once more.

Perhaps most importantly is that after cross-training to the center role, Steve Avila did not have any safety net if he is injured or if the needs a longer runway to regain his bearings and beachhead at the position.

Even as the team has swing tackle Joe Noteboom on the roster through 2024, even Noteboom does not have the ability to back up the center spot. Limmer offers instant competition for that spot, a competition that he will very likely win.

Limmer is a raw offensive line with huge upside. I truly believe that he will get the necessary coaching needed to be a formidable NFL offensive lineman

"What I like most about Limmer here is the fact that he has an incredibly high football IQ that merely needs to have his techniques refined. That is something that OL Coach Ryan Wendell can address in training camp. The Rams have some quality backups looking to earn a roster spot in 2024. But there is always room for one more, and Beaux Limmer has that passionate approach to his craft that gets his name called out here."

The LA Rams did not overlook the backup center role. For that alone, they deserve a very high grade.
