YG guarantees that the LA Rams will do this in 2024. And guess what? We agree.
By Bret Stuter
While the LA Rams were able to scratch and claw their way into the 2024 NFL Playoffs, the joy was short-lived as the team was turned away after a defeat in the Wild Card Round by the Detroit Lions by a score of 24-23. The Rams, a team that began the season with a record of 3-6, has nothing to be ashamed of, as a 7-2 run to close out the season give a great deal of optimism for the 2024 NFL season.
Some fans are taking that promising finish to the 2023 season to the next level. One fan, rapper YG (a.k.a. Young Gangsta') believes that the Rams will appear in Super Bowl LIX. He is so convinced, in fact, that he is willing to guarantee it.
While that all seems to be a bit ad hoc, as it was a chance coincidence meeting between a TMZ reporter and YG, the premise is not as far fetched as you might think. After all, the Rams did appear in Super Bowl LIII (lost to the New England Patriots) and Super Bowl LVI (won over the Cincinnati Bengals). So why wouldn't the team return for a third go at it, this time in Super Bowl LIX?
Here is the video, if you want to watch it again:
We have analyzed the team's recent cycle of success since hiring HC Sean McVay to join GM Les Snead, and the results are a bit amazing. Since 2016, the team has been locked in a 3-year cycle that follows the sam pattern:
- Year 1 = No playoff appearance
- Year 2 = Playoff appearance
- Year 3 = Super Bowl appearance
It has been the same pattern since 2016, and the team is about to enter Year 3 of the third cycle. That means that the team should be due to appear in the next Super Bowl.
Does history repeat itself? For the LA Rams, it's hard to argue otherwise. And while YG may have simply been showing his loyalty by giving a shoutout to his team. But closer inspection reveals that he is onto something. We've made some bold predictions for the team in 2024. YG has gone on record to make his bold prediction for the team in 2024.
