Rams fans may have to pump the brakes after details on Aaron Donald’s workout

The NFL world has been awaiting a decision from Aaron Donald, as he contemplates a return to the Los Angeles Rams. The all-time great defensive tackle has been pushing himself through workouts to see if getting back on the field is something he really wants to do. Wednesday brought a development that made it seem like Donald’s mind was made up.

Per the NFL transaction wire, the Rams shared that they worked out Donald on Wednesday. Official workouts are usually the last step before a formal signing, so this news made it appear that he could be rejoining the team soon. That’s not necessarily the case.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Donald was working out at the Rams' facility and wanted to wear a helmet. Since he used Rams equipment at the team’s facility, L.A. was required to report it to the league.
