Los Angeles Rams fans likely weren't thrilled when the Arizona Cardinals spent the fourth overall pick in last year's draft on Marvin Harrison Jr. Considering how amazing Marvin Harrison Sr. was during his lengthy NFL career, Rams fans figured that Harrison Jr. was going to be a menace in the league and they'd be tasked with trying to slow him down at least twice a year every year.

Well, fortunately, the Ohio State product didn't come firing out of the gates. Harrison had what many considered to be an underwhelming rookie year all things considered, finishing with 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. The numbers aren't bad by any means but when you look at Malik Nabers' numbers (109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns), they look more disappointing.

Former NFL scout John Middlekauff spoke about the Cardinals taking Harrison over Nabers and if they regret that decision.

"Once you get in the NFL, All I heard last year was like, ‘Marvin Harrison's floor is so high. Malik [Nabers] could be boom or bust.’ And then you watch, you're like, 'You don't think the Arizona Cardinals regret not going Malik Nabers over Marvin Harrison Jr.?’ Because they do. And the Giants benefited from them making that choice.”

Now, of course, there's still plenty of time for Harrison to correct course and go scorched earth on the league after what many considered to be a disappointing rookie year. As of now, however, Rams fans are going to enjoy this ride as long as it lasts.

It has to be quite painful for the Cardinals to know that Nabers, who went two picks after they took Harrison, balled out for a bad Giants team. Would the Cardinals have been better had they taken him instead of Harrison? We'll never know the answer to that question but Rams fans are hoping that Harrison continues to struggle, at least as long as he's playing for an NFC West rival.
