The Los Angeles Rams at long last unveiled their new pair of alternate uniforms: a Classic Sol fit that almost looks like a shoutout to the nearby California Golden Bears, and a Fearsome White affair made up of white and blue.
After all the anticipation ahead of the unveiling, it is only fitting that Rams fans will not have to wait long to see one of the uniforms in live action. Whew.
Beat writer Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports that Classic Sol will be on display in Week 2, on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants. Fearsome White will debut the day before Thanksgiving in a clash with the Green Bay Packers.
Rams fans have two dates to circle to see new uniforms in action
It makes sense to introduce the flashier Sol unis first, at a point in the season when the pressure hasn't yet kicked into full effect. All lies ahead, fresh-faced and optimistic. Hopefully the Rams make the bright laundry's debut a success as sizable favorites versus the G Men.
Although the Horns will play Green Bay at home, the icy blue and white fits with the late-November chill that characterizes the northern half of the country. Although intended as an homage to the Fearsome Foursome of the 1960s, "Flummoxing Why" might be a better label for a costume that looks puzzlingly like an imitation Colts jersey, but how much will anyone be paying attention to the uniforms by Week 12, anyway?

Exiting the bye, the Rams will be fully focused on closing out a brutal home stretch after a mid-season lull, gearing up for what will hopefully be a trip to the Super Bowl hosted by their very own SoFi Stadium.
Viewed in the context of the team's full wardrobe, the alternate uniforms fit in somewhat less awkwardly, providing some variation tempered by the more familiar stitchings. The two alternates are hanging in the closet alongside the Modern White road fit, Royal Blue home attire, and, of course, the Midnight Mode masterpiece.
