Rams inactives list for Week 11 game against the N.E. Patriots
By Bret Stuter
When it comes down to it, the LA Rams are starting to get healthier than they were when the season started. But that is only a small consolation when it comes to Week 11. You see, the team has yet to have all five preseason projected starters of the offensive line take the football field simultaneously. And that has been a huge problem for the team so far in 2024.
But it hasn't been the only problem this season.
The offense has been a true letdown in 2024. While you can make an argument that injuries have impacted the group, you cannot simply gloss over the fact that the Rams spend more on the offensive side of the football than any other team in the league. As a result, the team spends the least on the defensive side of the football.
In short, the team needs to get a better return from that offensive investment, and quickly. If not? Then the team needs to regroup around a new core of offensive players, shed the high price-tag underperformers, and reset the roster with less costly but effective contributors.
Of course, the team can go a long ways in Week 11 from halting any plans to start over on offense by winning. There are certainly many players on the offensive side of the football that have enough talent to break a game wide open with an unexpected scoring spree. Is this the week that the Rams offense finally steps up?:

Key Absences and Their Impact
Offensive Impact
- The offense will undoubtedly be hampered by the likely start of OT Warren McClendon at right tackle for injured veteran Rob Havenstein. But if the team can avoid obvious passing downs, McClendon ought to handle the job with help from a tight end in this one.
- The rushing attack has to share the workload with someone not named Kyren Williams. Williams' current pace is wearing him down. He has more fumbles this season as a result. Blake Corum was drafted for a reason, and he needs a larger role in Week 11.
- The Rams seem to have completely forgotten how effective the offense can play with a 12-personnel package. All four wins this season have occured when the Rams have deployed two tight ends at least 15 percent of the time. All five losses have occurred when the Rams did not deploy two tight ends. Seems like a simple decision to me.
Defensive Impact
- The LA Rams pass rush should have a solid game. The Patriots allow quarterback sacks, and the Rams pass rush continues to improve each week.
- With NT Neville Gallimore out, the pressure is on NT Bobby Brown III and Kobie Turner to stuff the run. Brown has been remarkably effective in that role recently.
- The Rams defense has a good nose for the football, and its ability to create turnovers has led the team to more than one win. Look for the defense to stir up trouble for the Patriots offense by creating 1+ turnovers in this game.
Special Teams Impact
- Fans continue to be unhappy over rookie kicker Joshua Karty, despite his ability to kick five of six field goals in Week 10. He would have made all six attempts, but a false start penalty added five yards and forced him to re-kick a field goal that ultimately was no good.
- The Rams hope to get a special punt return out of Xavier Smith, who has been somewhat quiet in that role of late.
And as always, thanks for reading.
