To be honest, I kinda thought Jalen Ramsey would be back on the Rams by now. Players of Ramsey's caliber typically don't get moved, but when they do, it's usually somewhere between the start of free agency and the draft. Now with most team's rosters/caps more-or-less set for the season, it'd seem like pulling off that big of a trade would be all the much harder. Also, no one wants to work that hard during summer.

So when draft weekend came and went without a big move, it felt like that was that. But! According to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, that's not necessarily the case. While doing a TV hit about Ramsey's trade situation this week, Wolfe had some interesting things to say about the timing of a potential trade, as well as potential places Ramsey could end up.
If Jalen Ramsey does get traded, the Rams simply make too much sense
"I checked in on the Jalen Ramsey situation this week, and I was told that nothing is imminent," he said. "There had been conversations draft weekend and throughout May in regards to Jalen Ramsey. There was interest. But right now there's nothing imminent. There's nothing closing at this moment. It's been relatively quiet. But one thing I was told was to keep an eye on that July 1st date ... This isn't about a guy who wants more money, or a guy who can't play anymore, this is just a situtation where relationships are hard, and the relationship between the Dolphins and Ramsey has essentially run out. I expect him to get traded sometime in June or July. They have talked to a lot of teams, I'm told the Dolphins are aware of teams that Ramsey would be interested in. We've heard the LA Rams and their coaching and GM staff talk and rave about Jalen Ramsey."
Well, I'm sold. It's happening. Also, I love that 'he might get traded sometime in the next 10 weeks' passes as reportable information these days. I'll take it though! The Rams' secondary could certainly use the help, and Ramsey's shown that he may be one of the few corners who extends his career peak well into his 30s, even if that does eventually mean moving to safety in some capacity.
And honestly, it doesn't matter whether it's June or July. Just make it happen before September.
