Multiple reports from around the league have confirmed that Aaron Hernandez will not play on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. As we mentioned this morning, the other half of the Patriots tight end duo was not at practice on Thursday, which led some to question whether or not he would be playing. NFL Network’s Albert Breer summed it up around noon today,

The Patriots will likely take an approach similar to what the St. Louis Rams had planned to do with Danny Amendola. However, Amendola has officially been bumped to “questionable” status, a status that Wayne Hunter and Steven Jackson feel under for two straight week while starting both games.

Shalise Young, a beat writer for the Boston Globe, echoed the reports on Hernandez, but added a couple of named to the “official” inactives list

There were also reports that Logan Mankins was still struggling to recover from injury, not getting any reps with the first team offense in the Patriots walkthrough today.
